This programme provides school groups or closed student groups the exciting opportunity to take part in a study tour during the academic year. We provide a fully immersive experience, including lessons and an optional comprehensive sports and activity programme.
Students are accommodated with carefully selected host families, fully vetted and inspected and known personally to LLI. We work closely with teachers to provide a quality programme that is individually customised and adapted to each study group’s individual needs, with the view of maximising language fluency and providing a complete cultural learning experience.

School days generally start at 8.45 am between finish 4pm-4.30 pm. Lunch will be prepared by the host family in the morning and given to the student to eat during their lunch break in school. Some Homestay students may go home for lunch depending on where the school is in relation to their host family. Students may have a half day on Wednesday and finish early on a Friday.
When you have chosen your course and accommodation you will need to complete the application and send it to us. We will check all the details and reply to you within 48 hours (Monday – Friday). We will also send you an invoice with details of how to pay.
You will receive your accommodation details and pre-departure information approximately 7-14 days before you arrive. We will also send you more information about your school to help you prepare. The most important thing is that you remember to take the following in your hand luggage:
You will meet the School Director and you will take a test so that you can be placed in a class suitable for your level. You will need to bring a pen and a notepad, all other course material will be provided for you. Homestay students will also bring a packed lunch which your host family will give you. Later that afternoon you will go on an orientation tour so that you become familiar with your surroundings.
It is normal for students to feel a little shy at the start and it generally takes a day or two for students to settle in. Your host family is very experienced in helping their student overcome homesickness and they will do all they can to help you feel at home. We have a dedicated accommodation officer who has selected your host family and we will look at each situation and see what the best solution. If after a few days things do not improve we will change your accommodation. Most of our students don’t have any problems but it is important for you to know that if you are not happy with your course or accommodation or any of our services then all you have to do is ask.
