Language Learning International (LLI) is a long established fully accredited language school based in Dublin since 1989. We are of medium size: small enough to provide a personal service, but large enough to offer an excellent range of programmes and facilities. We believe passionately that the best place to learn a language is in the country where it is spoken. We have welcomed students from all over the world to learn English in Ireland and we continue to offer a range of programmes offering quality and value for money.
Eugene Murphy Managing Director of LLI comes from the Education sector. He worked formerly as a teacher and has a Masters degree in Education. Eugene was Vice Chairman of MEI RELSA and head of the Academic Committee for a number of years at a time when vital changes were made in the sector relating to training and academic standards.
He also served on the Board of ACELS for a number of years. Currently, he is working on ‘Student Talk Time’ the academic programme developed by LLI. He has given many workshops abroad in Italy, France, Spain – at IATEFL in the UK – promoting the LLI style of learning in the classroom. An enthusiastic educator, Eugene worked with the National Curriculum Development body designing new curricula in the second level sector in Ireland before stepping down to become Managing Director of LLI.
In recent years, we have also been expanded into providing premium programmes for Irish teenagers in France, Spain and Germany with our sister company Tribe Study Abroad (link) Tribe Study Abroad offers Transition Year programmes and summer language and activity programmes for Irish students to improve their language fluency ahead of their Leaving Certificate.
