Terms and Conditions

(International students arriving to Ireland)


All fees must be received 30 days before the commencement of the course. Proof of payment of fees must be sent to LLI when fees are transferred.

Payments can be transferred directly into our bank account.

Upon receipt of a booking, a confirmation letter and an invoice will be sent. Please quote invoice numbers and course references in all correspondence and ensure that all parts of the booking form are filled in correctly.

Accommodation details and pre-departure guidelines are normally sent approximately 2 weeks before arrival. Bookings are not transferable i.e. they are specific to the dates, course and applicant as stated on the booking form.

Adult Students who temporarily leave their host family accommodation for one week or more during the course are charged a €100 retainer fee. At least one week’s notice must be given.


For cancellations received at least 14 days prior to the course commencement date, fess will be refunded less the non-refundable deposit of €200. For cancellations received within 7-13 days of course commencement 50% of the course fee will be refunded. For cancellations received within 7 days of course commencement no refund will be given.

There is no refund of fees for any cancellation once the course has commenced. This includes late arrival, early departure, or days missed during the course.

If a student wishes to change the course they are attending it may be possible for a student to change to an alternative course for the same value.

Public Holidays

In circumstances where a public holiday occurs on a Monday, students may begin their course on a Tuesday. Public holidays are non-refundable


All students are responsible for their own health, travel and personal l insurance. EU citizens should obtain form E111 from their local Social Welfare office and bring it with them to Ireland. Please note that this only covers emergency hospital care and attendance at certain doctors and does not cover dental visits. Students are not insured by the school or by the family against accidents, illness theft or loss of personal effects and in the event of such occurrences LLI accepts no responsibility.


Any student who is undergoing ongoing medical treatment must provide a medical certificate with their application. Such participants should bring sufficient medicinal supplies.

False, misleading or insufficient information regarding the health of a student may result in their course being terminated without refund or without admission of liability of any kind.


LLI reserves the right to terminate the course of any student who breaks the law or brings LLI into disrepute or presents a threat to others in the school. LLI reserves the right to send home forthwith students committing a serious offence, especially one involving the police and include but not limited to incidences of theft, smoking in any school premises, the possession of, purchase of or consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs. In the event of expulsion additional charges for flights and other associated costs will not be covered by the school and are the responsibility of the student and where appropriate their parents or guardians.

Students will be held responsible for loss, injury or damage caused to property or individuals and they or their parents/guardians must meet any costs incurred.


LLI reserves the right to use photographs taken during the course to illustrate its promotional material. Permission is given for the use of student images and testimonials by LLI for promotional materials by the students or their parents and legal guardians with acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Legal Notice

LLI reserves the right to postpone or cancel any course or to alter the dates, prices and conditions on all published material. This includes circumstances where the number of enrolments is not enough to operate a course viably. LLI reserves the right to refuse a booking from any applicant at any time without liability.

LLI gives notice that all arrangements for accommodation ,activities or transport are made by LLI as Agent upon the express condition that LLI shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss or accident delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of any default of any company or persons engaged in providing these services or in carrying out the arrangements of the programmes or otherwise in connection therewith with or of any family member. No responsibility is accepted for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in air, sea, rail or bus or other services ,sickness, weather, war, quarantine, strikes or other liability.
