Mary Immaculate College Limerick

Students begin lessons at  9.30am and the first part of the morning is dedicated to grammar and writing skills. Following the morning break the emphasis is on developing oral and aural skills and involves the use of role play, drama and . A comprehensive programme of sports and leisure activities in the afternoon and evenings keeps students busy from breakfast to bedtime.

All Students are required to do projectwork and complete an oral presentation in English of their work at the end of their stay. Prizes for speaking English at the weekly awards ceremony help  students to remain motivated and encourages the students in a fun and supportive environment.

The student Residence comprises of single and twin-bedded  rooms with shared bathroom facilities,. Single ensuite rooms are available on request. Meals are taken in the university restaurant.


Our carefully chosen Host families are within walking distance or a short commute by public transport. Students have breakfast and evening meal with the family and a packed lunch is provided which can be taken at the school. All our Host families have been collaborating with us for many years and we have an excellent relationship with them.
