Some of our schools offer both Homestay and Residential accommodation while others offer Homestay only. This information will be available on the school page. The following is information may help you decide which is best for you.
Young Learners have the opportunity to be accommodated with our specially chosen Host Families who are located either within walking distance of the school or a simple short trip using public transport. All or host families are individually inspected and visited regularly and most of them have been hosting with us for many years. Staying with an Irish host family allows the students to practice their English and also to learn about Irish way of life and culture.
In most cases Young Learners will share a twin room with a student of a different nationality which means the Young Learner can make a new friend and continue to speak English at home as well as at school!
Young Learners have breakfast and dinner with their host family everyday. A packed lunch is provided during the week and also on Saturdays for the full-day excursion. Students have lunch with their host families on Sundays.
Laundry and Bed Linen
Bed linen is provided but students should bring their own towels. Laundry can be included with the family wash unless special care is required such as hand washing or dry cleaning, in which case, a student should take care of his or her own laundry.
Residential school accommodation is also popular among our Young Learners. Our residences offer an excellent standard of accommodation with a host of sporting and leisure amenities on campus. Accommodation is generally in shared rooms and all meals are taken in the school cafeteria.
